Brother International (Aust) Pty Ltd
With over 100 years in operation, Brother International is a leading global manufacturer of laser printers, Multi-Function Centres®, fax machines, P-touch electronic labellers, label printers, typewriters and sewing machines.
All Brother Products are designed to help you conduct business in the most environmentally sustainable manner. Brother International Australia is a proud partner of Cartridges 4 Planet Ark, ANZRP TechCollect and the Australian Packaging Covenant. We have also joined forces with Earthwatch to help find solutions to some of Australia’s pressing environmental challenges.
Canon
Canon has successfully developed compact digital cameras that efficiently utilise as few resources as possible, printers and multifunction devices that consume dramatically less energy, and programs for the collection and recycling of used toner cartridges.
Demonstrating its commitment to the environment, Canon pioneered the voluntary collection of used toner cartridges in 1990 and started toner cartridge recycling the following year. To date, we have collected a total of 190,000 tonnes globally. All collected cartridges are utilised as reused parts in new products or in material recycling and we achieve 100% recovery. Through this toner cartridge recycling program, we have reduced the use of new resources by 110,000 tons and CO2 emissions by 310,000 tonnes.
Canon Australia is proud to be a founding partner of the Cartridges for Planet Ark Program. Our cartridges collected through the program are returned through Canon’s global reuse and recycling program or recycled in Australia by Close the Loop.
Epson
Epson is a founding member of the Cartridges for Planet Ark (C4PA) program to recycle ink cartridges and toner cartridges. As a division of Seiko Epson Corporation whose corporate roots are in “co-existence with nature”, Epson Australia will actively strive to provide “better products for a better future” in a manner that fully supports our corporate philosophy of protecting the earth’s environment and cooperating with the local community.
In 2008 Epson announced its Environmental Vision for 2050, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 90% across the lifecycle of all products and services by 2050.
Fuji Xerox Australia
Fuji Xerox is a leader in integrated document services. The company offers a range of technology solutions and business services to meet the needs of businesses for the effective management of information, from creation through to production, distribution and capture. HP
HP provides free & convenient recycling for Original HP cartridges in more than 50 countries or territories including Australia. HP’s commitment to environmental sustainability helps guide the direction of our company.
We design Original HP print cartridges to be recyclable, incorporate recycled plastic and still meet HP’s demanding standards for quality and reliability. In 2011, HP reached cumulative shipments of more than 1 billion cartridges using plastic recycled from used HP cartridges – the first such “closed loop” process in the industry.

Konica Minolta has also been awarded EPEAT® Certification, which is managed by the Green Electronics Council. This comprehensive environmental rating helps to identify greener computers and other electronic equipment and was first introduced in 2006. Imaging equipment was added as a new product category in 2013.
